Care & Safety Guidelines

 ___

  • Burn your candle for at least 2 hours or until the wax has melted all the way to the edge of the glass to create an even burn. This will create a candle imprint and prevents tunneling - a candle will only remember the burn radius of its last burn.
  • Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch to ensure your candle is burning gently, and so that ugly 'fire wood' effect does not happen. If you do have an overly charred wick, that means you need to trim your wick.
  • Each candle is made from scratch, by hand, in Woodstock, GA.
  • Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours and keep the melt pool clean/ free from debris.
  • If black soot forms around the jar, simply extinguish your candle. Wait for the jar to cool and wipe the jar clean with a damp cloth or paper towel.
  • Keep candles away from sunlight and heat. Candles lose their scent and may discolor when in direct sunlight.
  • If the candle is creating an uneven burn, simply rotate the candle jar to the side that needs more heat. Uneven burns can sometimes happen by light drafts within the home.
  • Do not leave your candles unattended and remember to place away from draft, children and pets. Always place candles on a leveled/heat-resistant surface.
  • Discontinue use when the is less than 1” of wax left in the jar.
  • Note it is normal for natural coconut wax to cool with an uneven surface after lighting. Remember - this is coconut wax in it's purest form.

All done with your candle? Don't throw it out just yet!

Your jar can be cleaned with hot soapy water & repurposed around the home. I like to keep cotton balls & Q-tips in mine or maybe you'll finally find a place for all those loose pens or organize your makeup brushes.
